This latest purchase, following the acquisition of S B Wheeler and Sons Limited, further consolidates EASCO’s position as one of the UK’s leading metal recycling processors. The acquisition of both Peruzzi’s and S B Wheeler and Sons will enable EASCO to provide a more localized and specialist service to our customers across the whole of the United Kingdom, with sites in 13 locations. In addition to our original sites in the north, midlands and East Anglia, we now also have sites in Cambridgeshire, Essex and Hertfordshire. When asked about the acquisition, Group Managing Director, Andre Serruys, said that; “The purchase of both Peruzzi's Metals and S B Wheelers were strategically important acquisitions for the development of EASCO, as it enables us to expand our business geographically, increase operational efficiency and further improve the services we offer our customers nationally. Both companies have solid commercial foundations on which we can build. I believe that this, combined with the extensive experience and commitment of the combined workforce, will be an essential asset to us as we look to develop the company for the challenges our industry presents us with daily. The integration of both companies into the EASCO portfolio will be assisted by the fact that both companies already work to internationally recognized standards, such as ISO 14001 and ISO 9000. This means that they immediately complement our own quality and environmental principles, which enables us to integrate both companies more rapidly without any detrimental effect to our customers. As a company, we are committed to maintaining our position as one of the UK’s leading recycling companies. These latest acquisitions form part of an ongoing, aggressive multi million pound investment strategy that consolidate further our market position and underline our commitment to improving the UK’s recycling record” EASCO has more than doubled its turnover in the last three years, providing services across many sectors including manufacturing, local authorities as well as the automotive and rail industries. It also provides consultancy services to help organizations comply with evolving legislation - for example the End of Life Vehicles (ELV) and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) directives.
